Goaty Tapes Shipment: Drunk Elk Vinyl re-issue, Red Red Krovvy, Oz Waves, Sleaford Mods, Pissed Jeans LPs In Now.

Goaty Tapes have re-issued the first and long out of print Drunk Elk album "The Inverted Crux Tape" on vinyl. They are in stock now now and ready to go. Drunk Elk are a three piece from Tasmania. Unnerving, minimal solitary night time music that comes across as uniquely Australian somehow. For fans of Native Cats, Fabulous Diamonds, Vincent over The Sink and even early PIL. Listen to the track Quintessence below.

I'm really enjoying this Russian Tsarlag LP Gel Stations Past on this bleak day in Sydney. He seems to release something every few weeks, but this LP compiles three tapes from 2013 and 2014 and it works seamlessly.

Goaty Tapes have also stocked us up with a bunch of their cassettes plus the excellent looking Casual Junk, which is a publication written by Zully Adler, with contributions from:

Breakdance the Dawn

Mad Nanna

Tracey Trance

Son of Salami

Russian Tsarlag

Orphan Fairytale

Sea Urchin

The book is separated into chapters for each band and combines interviews, stories, images, theories and commentary.

Red Red Krovvy have released a few killer 7"s already and their debut LP is on it's way from Helta Skelta records in Perth. Originally from Cairns but now based in Sydney and Melbourne, it's excellent primal, raw punk rock. Check out their clip. Should be in any day.

The Oz Waves Compilation lp from Efficient Space label is in now.  Anthropologist Steel Bonus selects ten misfit synth-punk, tape loop experiments and inner city pop survivors from the fertile period (1982-1989), most of which were only issued on cassette in tiny editions of 5 to 100 copies. The remaining tracks have been sourced from musicians’ private archives and are being officially released on Oz Waves for the first time.  Buy here
