LP ANGEL WITCH S/t (red / Black Vinyl)    BACK IN PRINT ON LIMITED RED & BLACK COMBO VINYL!!! One of the first and greatest black metal albums, and one of the records that helped launch the New Wave of British Heavy Metal movement, the 1980 self-titled debut from ANGEL WITCH still packs a wallop some 36 years later. Unlike, say, Black Sabbath or Led Zeppelin, songwriter KEVIN HEYBOURNE's lyrical imagery just doesn’t dabble in the occult, it lives (dies?) there, with abundant sword and sorcery themes and tales (e.g. “Angel of Death”) of damnation. Yet, as on the title track, the band is not above crafting some catchy hooks, though the raw production ensures that those hooks have barbs. Limited edition of 300 copies.

LP BLOODLOSS Bloodloss   Traversing the diverse and weird underbelly of post punk Australia, Adelaide’s BLOODLOSS carved out its own strange and lasting musical path. Originally formed in Sydney in 1982 by RENESTAIR E.J., SHARRON WEATHERILL and JIM SELENE, by 1986 Bloodloss had already gone through numerous line-ups, a name change (ZULU RATTLE) and eventual break-up. Reuniting in Adelaide with new and former members, including local drummer MARTIN BLAND, Adelaide’s Greasy Pop Records released their first two full-length outings: 1986’s Bloodloss (Self-titled) and Human Skin Suit (1988). These releases were the only recordings to feature a female lead vocalist in Sharron Weatherill. Bloodloss self-titled is a lo-fi cacophony of angular post punk, peppered with freeform mayhem and grungy backbeats, and fits nicely among the output of other Australian bands of the time. Listening to this incarnation of Bloodloss, it seems not surprising that legendary Seattle growler MARK ARM would later join the mix and help propel the band through much of the '90s. First time on vinyl. Liner notes by STUART GRAY (aka STU SPASM of Lubricated Goat). Edition of 300 on red wax

LP CFM Dichotomy Desaturated   The Laguna Beach-raised Moothart first picked up a guitar at 12 years old and got behind the drum kit for the Moonhearts at the age of 16 with fellow Cali six-string ripper Mikal Cronin. Since then, the 27-year-old journeyman has become a fixture in the West Coast community: he’s logged oodles of studio and stage time with Cronin and Ty Segall—both on his solo albums and as part of the ultra-heavy supergroup Fuzz, the latter experience driving him to make music on his own.

LP DOCKSTADER, TOD Eight Electronic Pieces   Originally self-released in 1961 and later issued by Folkways, Tod Dockstader’s Eight Electronic Pieces is a foundational document of American electronic music and a stunning first work from this revolutionary composer. Refused access to the resources and funding of the academy and without any interest from the record industry, Dockstader assembled his debut album through three years of his own private labor – recording after-hours at the New York radio station where he worked. Dockstader’s approach was informed by the laboratory experiments of his European contemporaries Edgar Varèse and Pierre Schaefer as well as by the aleatory compositional techniques and neo-dadaist aesthetics of John Cage.
While Dockstader famously described his music as “organized sound,” Eight Electronic Pieces is not pure musique concrète. Oscillators pulse and clash with fragments of incidental tape music, leaving collages of sound as tuneful and memorable as they are otherworldly. A visionary debut that presages the abstract ambience of modern IDM and an essential addition to any collection of early electronic music.

LP GOLDEN PELICANS Disciples Of Blood   The third thug rock masterpiece from these Orlando miscreants lays waste to the land with gruff voice and loud, raw guitar backed by in-pocket bass and drums. As of late, their boot-stomp beat has been ringing true across the land—born of Slade and AC/DC, Rose Tattoo and Coloured Balls, it’s the sound shared by punkers Slaughter And The Dogs and modern acts such as Melbourne’s Power. Golden Pelicans blends this blast with only the strongest essences of punk, hardcore, and metal on Disciples Of Blood, their latest album.

LP GRIPPE, RAGNAR Sand    Since its original release in 1977, RAGNAR GRIPPE's seminal debut album entitled Sand has been adorned with immense praise and influenced a myriad of ambient musicians and minimalist composers. Grippe’s unique approach of bonding post-modern classical composition into the tape techniques of musique concrète allowed him to be one of the leading experimental electronic musicians of the late 20th century.
Originally trained as a classical cellist, Grippe had relocated to Paris in the early 70’s to study at the famous Groupe de Recherches Musicales (more commonly known as GRM) founded by musique concrète pioneers Pierre Schaeffer, Pierre Henry and Jacques Poullin. Around the same time, Grippe had struck up a close friendship with French avant-garde minimalist Luc Ferrari. It was under Ferrari’s direction and guidance that the young Grippe started to build a shared experimental music studio, aptly named l’Atelier de la Libération Musicale (ALM), in which Ferrari shared his knowledge and instrumental supplies, thus forging Grippe’s implementation of harmonic tone within the confines of musique concrete.

This LP might be Mystic 100's 1st or Milk Music's 3rd, either way it's a sonic thrill ride through an acid laced apocalypse that will freak your bean and leave you wanting more."

LP V/A Highlights Of Vortex    A landmark recording in the history of electronic tape music and an engrossing artifact of proto-psychedelia, Highlights Of Vortex gathers recordings designed for the Vortex system by Jacobs and collaborators David Talcott, William Loughborough, and Gordon Longfellow. Source material including free improvisation, field recording, classical Indian instrumentation, West African polyrhythms and musique concrète is transmogrified through tape manipulation, atomizing swathes of reverb and delay, and other live and recorded effects, making dramatic use of the monumental Vortex soundsystem.

LP WILLIAMS, TEDDY Worry Off My Mind

LP XETAS The Tower    Recorded over a 24-hour period in the fall of 2016 with engineer Ian Rundell (Carl Sagan's Skate Shoes, Spray Paint, Empty Markets), the 37-minute, 10-track album was recorded in less than than 7 minutes --a testimony to the band's energy and capacity for bending time and space after years of monastic devotion.
The melodies are dirty, distorted and delicious, dishing on the world in a jolting and at times unnerving manner, speaking truth to power, assuring a nation already grappling with insomnia under new federal management that it never sleeps again, in soundman Max's jacket, or otherwise."—Paul Stinson
