New Arrivals: Avalanches, The Necks, Ty Segall, Orion

Posted by on

We'll be CLOSED Thursday the 26th for the public holiday, but we'll be back Friday with a bang! Here's a list of oncoming and recent arrivals.

The debut self titled Lp from Sydney's Orion will be with us this Friday hopefully. We're anticipating this will sell out so get in fast. Orion feature members of Oily Boys, Whores, Low Life and MOB. Moody, anxious synth laden post-punk via one of our favourite labels Cool Death. Buy here

Modular have re-issued the Avalanches classic "Since I left You" as a two LP set. We'll have a few copies of the limited edition double blue vinyl. Again, don't sit on your laurels. Buy it here

The new album from the very prolific Ty Segall is his second self titled album. It's in stock now. Buy here

Melbourne's Scott And Charlene's Wedding return with a new album called Mid Thirties Singles Scene. They've always been a hit in Repressed. Buy here

Bent - Snakes And Shapes LP  Excellent clangy female fronted post-punk from Brisbane. Kinda reminiscent of PIL and the Raincoats. Buy here.

100% - You Are 100%  Cold synth darkwave from Brisbane that reminds me of early 80's UK stuff like Siouxsie and The Banshees and The Associates. Been pretty popular and i'd get a wriggle on if you want a copy. Buy here.

A new tape is in from Paradise Daily from Volunteers In Policing Programme called Outskirts Of Mosul. Lo-fi, despondent semi-industrial clattering that is part Throbbing Gristle, Kitchens Floor and 80's UK DIY. Features members of Sex Tourists and Natalia And Her Naptime.

The Necks are one of Australia's finest bands. They return with an album especially made for vinyl, a sprawling 2 LP set called Unfold. Should be in the next few days!
