So much stuff turned up this morning I was kind of having a panic attack. The stuff listed in the previous post arrived. Also, the new Twerps EP called "Underlay" is in. Apparently it's pretty limited so get on it. They also signed to Merge Records which is great news and they're in Sydney this Saturday night. Have a listen. Go to the gig. Peter Escott "The Long O" is in. He's from the awesome...
Big load of new stuff due in any day now. Highlights include the US pressing of Rowland S Howard "Pop Crimes" and "Shotgun Wedding" with Lydia Lunch. The lovely new Lower Plenty LP "Life / Thrills" is in now. Check out the video here. Really nice late night pyschedelic folk. Sure to be on our best sellers list end of the year I reckon. Geoffrey O'Connor was formerly in Crayon Fields. Here on Fan Fiction he goes like a sleeker Alex Cameron. Pretty great 80's inspired sleaze, seedy over indulgence with a bit of  nudge nudge self awarenes...
Black Bananas feature Jennifer Herrema from Royal Trux. I love this album. R&B inspired psych funk that's part 70's, part futuristic cocaine 80's. A lot of fun in other words. It's called Electric Brick Wall if you need confirmation of my description. Kind of like Pharrell doing Electric Warrior in faded denim jeans and cowboy boots. There's always a two artist description in there somewhere. ...

Mordecai – Neil’s Generator LP Another winning album for Richie Records! I raved about their last LP, I think “Flipper covering The Meat Puppets” was the quote on the descriptive tag. This one’s got a little less rough ‘n’ tumble riff riding, it’s been slightly smoothed around the edges with a little more self-reflection and song-orientated material (as opposed to “groove orientated”). Ne...

Good Throb – Fuck Off    UK all girl band who sound in parts like one of those long forgotten punk bands from shitsville 1982 and other times more post punky and angular like Eddy Current Suppression Ring.  About time something good came out of the UK. Nice mix of abrasive and catchy anger and the hi-energy vocalist  gets bonus points for being called KY Elly. Sick!! ...

“Velvet Whip? Never heard of ‘em”. Well pal, do yourself a favour because if Hawkwind went punk and played in a garage, this is what it would sound like. Rad! And it’s on cassette   We got in the re-issue of the debut LP by Hermitude called Alleys To Valleys for Record Store Day. They were all warped so we got the replacement copies in now. Unwarped double green vinyl....
